In compliance with the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) and other regulations, and to ensure a competitive procurement process, Overberg District Municipality invites all prospective suppliers to register on the Overberg District Municipality’s Supplier Database and the Central Supplier Database (CSD). The purpose of this Database is to give all prospective suppliers an equal opportunity to submit quotations to the Overberg District Municipality.

The listing of any prospective service provider whose name appears on the National Treasury’s database as a person who is prohibited from doing business with the public sector, will be disallowed.

Please note that registration on the Overberg District Municipality’s supplier database does not guarantee business opportunities.

All prospective suppliers must also be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD). Registrations on the CSD can be done online at www.csd.gov.za.

Supplier Database application forms can be collected at the Overberg District Municipality’s head office at 26 Long Street, Bredasdorp or the SCM office at 11 Recreation Street, Bredasdorp (next to Bredasdorp Clinic).

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 127(5) of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), 2003 (Act 53 of 2003), read in conjunction with Section 21A of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act 32 of 2000), that Draft Annual Report for the 2024/2025 financial year has been tabled at the Municipal Council Meeting on 26 January 2026.

The Draft Annual Report for the 2024/2025 financial year is open for comments and can be viewed on the municipal website at www.odm.org.za and at the Head Office of the Overberg District Municipality, 26 Long Street, Bredasdorp.

The submission of comments and representation regarding the Draft Annual Report 2024/2025 must be emailed to mm@odm.org.za by no later than 27 February 2026 at 16:30.

Persons who are unable to read or write may visit the ODM Head Office during ordinary office hours, for assistance in compiling their written comment, inputs or representations.

Notice in terms of the MFMA and Call for Comments or Representation

The Overberg District Municipality, in terms of the provisions of Section 33 of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act 56 of 2003) (MFMA), hereby makes it public that the Municipality has gone out on tender for the provision of premises to lease for Caledon fire station for a period ending 30 June 2032, subject to approval from Council in terms of Section 33 of the MFMA.

The tender documents of the successful service provider(s) can be inspected at the Municipality’s head office in Bredasdorp during official office hours or accessed on the Municipality’s official website www.odm.org.za, from Wednesday, 26 November 2025.

The appointment of the successful entity will be considered by the Municipal Council of the Overberg District Municipality at the Council meeting to be held on 23 February 2026 at the Municipal Offices in Bredasdorp.

Notice is hereby further given in terms of Sections 21 and 21A of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act 32 of 2000) that the local communities and affected parties are invited to submit comments or representations on the provision of premises to lease for Caledon fire station. Such comments or representations must be submitted by no later than Friday, 30 January 2026 at 12h00.

Comments or representations must be submitted in a sealed envelope endorsed “THE PROVISION OF PREMISES TO LEASE FOR CALEDON FIRE STATION FOR A PERIOD ENDING 30 JUNE 2032” and be deposited in the tender box at the Municipality’s head office in Bredasdorp.
