The Overberg District Municipality has the following temporary work opportunities in the Directorate: Community Services, Department: Municipal Health Services, to be filled from 01 March 2023 until 30 May 2023, for the collection of Data.

MUNICIPAL HEALTH SERVICES EPWP CONTRACT POSTS

(Hermanus x 6) (Greater Hermanus x 4) (Gansbaai/ De Kelders/ Franskraal/ Kleinbaai x 2)

(Kleinmond/Hangklip x 2) (Hermanus x 1 Data Capturer)

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Good physical health
• Applicants must be literate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.

Duties:

The incumbents will collect various data for Municipal Health Services Functions such as:

• Surveillance of premises;
• Disposal of the dead facilities at various areas;
• At Food Safety premises.

EPWP is a poverty alleviation partnership programme between the National Government and the Overberg District Municipality that offers temporary work opportunities to the unemployed. The program is open to unemployed and unskilled women and men, including youth (from 18 years and older) and People with disabilities.

Remuneration: R150.00 per day.

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 127(5) of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), 2003 (Act 53 of 2003), read in conjunction with Section 21A of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act 32 of 2000), that the Draft Annual Report for the 2021/2022 financial year has been tabled at the Municipal Council Meeting on 30 January 2023.

The Draft Annual Report for the 2021/2022 financial year is open for comments and can be viewed on the municipal website at www.odm.org.za and at the Head Office of the Overberg District Municipal Office, 26 Long Street, Bredasdorp.

The submission of comments and representation regarding the Draft Annual Report 2021/2022 financial year must be emailed to mm@odm.org.za by no later than 6 March 2023 at 16:30.

Persons who are unable to read or write may visit Mr K Theunissen at the Head Office during ordinary office hours, for assistance in compiling their written comment, inputs or representations.
