FINANCIAL INTERNSHIP X 2 (CONTRACT APPOINTMENT) (RE-ADVERTISED)
Financial internships are currently available in Finance for candidates to gain practical experience in the finance section of local government. This project is an initiative of National Treasury’s reform programme for effective and accountable financial management and is aimed at individuals who have recently obtained a relevant tertiary qualification, as mentioned below.

PROGRAMME NAME: EMERGENCY MUNICIPAL LOADSHEDDING RELIEF GRANT
REPORTING PERIOD: April 2023 REPORT NUMBER: 02/2023
PROJECT NAME: Procurement of Back-Up Generators for Overberg Region
SUMMARY OF APPROVED SCOPE OF WORK PER PROJECT
As per business plan submitted on 3 March 2023, ODM to purchase and ensure the safe-keeping of three (3) 100 KVA generators for use by the District Municipality and the four (4) Local Municipalities in the Overberg region as and when required on a first come, first serve basis in response to the prolong load-shedding, thereby mitigating the impact on the provision of basic services and potential health risks.
The following equipment will be purchase:
- 1 x 100 KVA generator with 10 KVA UPS for Disaster Management Centre
- 2 x 100 KVA mobile back-up generators mounted on custom built twin axle trailers

OVERALL PROGRESS TO DATE
SCM Processes in progress – details as follows
- SUPPLY OF TWO TRAILERS TO MOUNT A 100KVA GENRATOR – Q24-2022/23 award letter issued on 18 April 2023 to Memotek Trading for R140 870.40. Order in process of issuing.
- Supply and installation of three 100 KVA generators, one with 10 KVA UPS and the other two mounted on Trailers – Requisition 31683 approved on 14 April 2023. Order in process of issuing to Mbele Electrical – Tender 13-20/21

Estimated costs: Generators = R1.45 million
Trailor’s = R150 000
