The Overberg District Municipality has the following vacancy in the Directorate Community Services, Department: Resorts, to be filled as soon as possible.
SUPERVISOR (1x DIE DAM)
(RE-ADVERTISEMENT)
Requirements:
• Grade 10
• Code C1 drivers license with PDP
• Supervision skills with three (3) years experience
Duties:
• Reporting requirements of terrain, bungalows, ablution blocks and vehicles • Give written and oral feedback of the bungalows and ablution blocks repairs • Request quotes from suppliers to buy the necessary items for repairs • Reporting health and safety requirements and incidents of workers • Removal of sewerage to sewerage plant • Reporting of paraffin, fuel and water meter readings • Pre-tip inspection of council vehicles • Supervision of the safe usage of machinery by the workers • Supervision and ensure maintenance of infrastructure, Terrain, Bungalows, Ablution blocks and Council Buildings • Receiving payments for accommodation/electricity and issue receipts • Receiving payments and issue receipts for electricity purchases • Balancing of money with receipts issued • Handover of monies, receipt book and departure, arrival list after balancing function was done.
Remuneration: (T7 =R171 804 – R222 948 per annum) plus the normal fringe benefits of a Local Authority.

GENERAL ASSISTANT (1x UILENKRAALSMOND)

Requirements:
• Basic literacy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to function in a team
• Applicants must be literate in at least two of the three languages of the Western Cape
Duties:
• Perform cleaning duties of bungalows, ablution blocks and the Reservation office at Uilenkraalsmond Resort.
• Cleaning of the terrain around the chalets at the Resort
• Ensure satisfactory use of recreational facilities by Resort users
• Ensure health and safety in use of facilities

Tenders are hereby invited for the following:
T01-2022/23: APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER TO CONDUCT A SHARED SERVICES/INTER-MUNICIPAL CO-OPERATION (IMC) FOR SHARING OF A MUNICIPAL POUND IN THE OVERBERG DISTRICT.
THIS TENDER WILL BE CARRIED OUT BY A TWO ENVELOPE BIDDING PROCESS.
Tenders are hereby invited from suitable service providers for the appointment of a service provider to conduct a shared services/inter-municipal co-operation (IMC) for sharing of a municipal pound in the Overberg District.
A compulsory clarification and briefing session with attendance register will be held where additional information and the terms of reference pertaining this contract will be discussed.
NB. Only bids from those who attended the briefing session will be considered.

A non-refundable fee of R148.40 (one hundred and forty-eight rand and forty cents) is payable for a set of documents. The fee must be paid by bank gauranteed cheque issued in favour of the Overberg District Municipality or an electronic payment (use company name and tender no. as reference).
Duly completed tenders must be placed in a sealed envelope endorsed “T01-2022/23” APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER TO CONDUCT A SHARED SERVICES/INTER-MUNICIPAL CO-OPERATION (IMC) FOR SHARING OF A MUNICIPAL POUND IN THE OVERBERG DISTRICT." The sealed tenders must be placed in the tender box at the Council Offices situated at 26 Long Street/Private Bag X22, Bredasdorp, 7280 by no later than 12:00 on Monday, 01 August 2022. Tenders will be opened in public thereafter.
Tenders submitted by fax, e-mail, or received after the closing time and date shall not be accepted.
Overberg District Municipality shall apply its Municipal Supply Chain Management Policy as adopted in terms of section 111 of the Local Government Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act No 56 of 2003) and the relevant regulations. Tenders will be evaluated according to the criteria and weight of the 80/20 preferential procurement system. Bidders must submit a valid Tax Compliance status PIN, issued by the South African Revenue Services.
It is the prerogative of the municipality not to accept the lowest, a part of or any tender at all.
