Investigation into the Highlands-Kleinmond fire that took place in January 2022

Overberg District Municipality tasked a fire investigator to investigate the cause and origin of the Kleinmond fire. In the spirit of transparency, the report is herewith made available to everyone.

The Overberg District Council at its meeting on 31 January 2022 resolved to appoint Mr Patrick Oliver, Director Community Services, in the position of acting Municipal Manager for a period of three months.

Mr Nantes Kruger, who previously served as acting MM, returns to his position as Chief Financial Officer.

Notice is hereby given that a Council meeting of the Overberg District Municipality will be held on Monday, 31 January 2022 at 14:00.
