Notice is hereby given that the Overberg District Municipality’s offices will be closed over the holiday period as follows:

ODM Administrative Offices
The administrative offices will be closed for the period 28 December 2020 to 31 December 2020, and will re-open on 4 January 2020.
NB - The offices will close at 13h00 on 24 December.

ODM Roads Department
The Roads Department closes annually to coincide with the builders’ holidays. The department closes on Friday, 18 December 2020 and re-opens again on Monday, 18 January 2020.
NB - All depots close at 11h00 on 18 December.

LOCAL MUNICIPALITIES

Swellendam Municipality: Offices will be closed at 12h00 on 24 December 2020 until 31 December 2020, subject to the continuation of essential services.

Cape Agulhas Municipality: All offices are closed for the period 28 December to 31 December 2020 subject to operational requirements.

Theewaterskloof Municipality: Offices will be closed for the period 28 December 2020 until 31 December 2020, subject to the requirement that essential services will remain in operation.

Overstrand Municipality: The municipality will remain operational for the period 28 December to 31 December 2020 as this will be the peak of the season and services are required to continue.

Call for applications from subsistence producers / farmers

The Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development invites applications from subsistence producers / farmers to be supported through the Presidential Employment Stimulus Fund. The main objective of this initiative is to support employment of marginalised producers / farmers. The fund will enable subsistence producers / farmers to retain self-employment in the agricultural sector, thereby contributing to food security and economic growth.

• The focus of the open day is to assist suppliers with registering on the central supplier database, as well as registering on the Overberg District Municipality’s database and advising on tender document completion.
• Local Economic Development will also be available to assist with any queries.
