PROJECT NAME: Procurement of Back-Up Generators for Overberg Region

SUMMARY OF APPROVED SCOPE OF WORK PER PROJECT

As per business plan submitted on 3 March 2023, ODM to purchase and ensure the safe-keeping of three (3) 100 KVA generators for use by the District Municipality and the four (4) Local Municipalities in the Overberg region as and when required on a first come, first serve basis in response to the prolong load-shedding, thereby mitigating the impact on the provision of basic services and potential health risks.

The following equipment will be purchase:

• 1 x 100 KVA generator with 10 KVA UPS for Disaster Management Centre
• 2 x 100 KVA mobile back-up generators mounted on custom built twin axle trailers

1. SUPPLY OF TWO TRAILERS TO MOUNT A 100KVA GENRATOR – Q24-2022/23 closed on 5 April 2023 currently being evaluated
2. Supply and installation of three 100 KVA generators, one with 10 KVA UPS and the other two mounted on Trailers – valid three-year TENDER 13-20/21 to be used

Estimated costs:       

• Generators = R1.4 million
• Trailor’s = R200 000

DRAFT 2023/2024 REVIEW AND AMENDED INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT PLAN (IDP) OF 2022/2023 – 2026/2027
Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 25 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act 32 of 2000) that the Draft 2023/2024 Review and Amended Integrated Development Plan (IDP) of 2022/2023 to 2026/2027 of the Overberg District Municipality was adopted by Council on 27 March 2023.

DRAFT THREE-YEAR BUDGET / MEDIUM-TERM REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE FRAMEWORK (MTREF) 2023/2024 – 2025/2026
Notice is hereby given in terms of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act 56 of 2003) (MFMA) that the Draft Three-Year Budget for 2023/2024 to 2025/2026 of the Overberg District Municipality was adopted by Council on 27 March 2023.
