Q14-2020/21: DISPOSAL OF VARIOUS TYPES OF ASSETS

Kindly note: Due to the public holiday on 16 June 2021, the viewing of the assets at Bredasdorp Roads Division Depot has been moved to Friday 18 June 2021.

The Overberg District Municipality hereby invites prospective Bidders to submit quotations for the sale of various types of assets.

The Overberg District Municipality (hereinafter referred to as ODM) needs to effect a sale for the disposal of certain redundant vehicles and other assets.

The items to be sold are stored at the Uilenkraalsmond Resort, near Franskraal and vehicles and scrap metal are kept at the Roads Division Depot of the ODM, in Recreation Street, Bredasdorp (next to the Clinic).

VIEWING SESSIONS OF ALL ASSETS AND REDUNDANT VEHICLES AS PER LOT IDENTIFIED ARE AS FOLLOWS:

UILENKRAALSMOND – LOT 1 - 12

Viewing sessions of the Assets (Lot 1 up to 12) will take place on Tuesday, 15 June 2021 between 10:00 and 14:00 at the premises of the Uilenkraalsmond Resort (Owls Pub) facility of the Overberg District Municipality, next to Franskraal.

BREDASDORP – LOT 13 - 41

Viewing sessions of the redundant vehicles and scrap (Lot 13 up to 41) will take place on Wednesday 16 June 2021 Friday, 18 June 2021 between 10:00 and 14:00 at the premises of the Roads Depot of the Overberg District Municipality, situated in Recreation Street, Bredasdorp.

SWELLENDAM – LOT 42 - 43

Viewing sessions of the redundant vehicles (Lot 42 and 43) will take place on Thursday, 17 June 2021 between 12:00 and 14:00 at the premises of the Roads Depot of the Overberg District Municipality, situated on the Ashton Road, just exiting Swellendam on the right.

Removal of Assets

• The successful bidder MUST remove all assets purchased within 5 days

• The ODM does not take responsibility for items not collected after expiry of the 5 days waiting period.

Documents are obtainable from the Supply Chain Management Unit of the Overberg District Municipality at 26 Long Street, Bredasdorp - Tel no 028 050 0910 or jharmse@odm.org.za .

Duly completed quotations must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and endorsed with the relevant quotation number and description on the envelope. The sealed quotations must be placed in the official tender box of the District Municipality’s offices at 26 Long Street, Bredasdorp, before 12:00 on Tuesday, 22 June 2021.

Quotations submitted by fax, e-mail, or received after the closing time and date shall not be accepted. Quotations may only be submitted on the prescribed official document.

Overberg District Municipality shall apply its Municipal Supply Chain Management Policy as adopted in terms of section 111 of the Local Government Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act No 56 of 2003) and the relevant regulations. Quotations will be evaluated according to the criteria and weight of the 80/20 preferential procurement system. Bidders must submit a valid Tax Compliance status PIN, issued by the South African Revenue Services.

It is the prerogative of the municipality not to accept the lowest, a part of or any quotation at all.
