The Overberg District Municipality, in terms of the provisions of section 33 of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act 56 of 2003) (MFMA), hereby makes it public that the municipality has gone out on tender for the appointment of consulting engineers for solid waste for the Overberg District Municipality for a contract period ending 30 June 2035, subject to approval from Council in terms of section 33 of the MFMA.
The tender documents of the successful service provider(s) can be inspected at the municipality’s head office in Bredasdorp during official office hours or accessed on the municipality’s official website, www.odm.org.za, from Monday, 10 March 2025.
The appointment of the successful entity will be considered by the municipal Council of the Overberg District Municipality at the Council meeting to be held on 30 June 2025 at the municipal offices in Bredasdorp.
Notice is hereby further given in terms of sections 21 and 21A of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act 32 of 2000) that the local communities and affected parties are invited to submit comments or representations on the appointment of consulting engineers for solid waste. Such comments or representations must be submitted by no later than Friday, 9 May 2025 at 12:00.
Comments or representations must be submitted in a sealed envelope endorsed “APPOINTMENT OF CONSULTING ENGINEERS FOR SOLID WASTE FOR THE OVERBERG DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY FOR A CONTRACT PERIOD ENDING 30 JUNE 2035” and be deposited in the tender box at the Municipality’s head office in Bredasdorp.
